I started the Challenge because I said to myself, “If not now, then when?”
I had seen the photographs of past Challenge winners and was inspired by their stories, their commitment and their ‘before and after’ photographs. I had to do it this time. I would commit to all aspects of the challenge and work on myself holistically. Katie’s calm, kind and encouraging approach gave me hope. Katie’s support when the going got tough was wonderful. Katie advised me how best to navigate bootcamp with an injury to the knee, adjusting the exercises. In fact I was later able to run the ‘Couch to 5kms’ through the gentle support of the running plans.
I loved the community spirit and the Facebook group kept me accountable. I exceeded my goal of loosing 5kgs and I feel so much better in myself. I have taken up new sports and met new friends through the running club. I no longer worry about how I look… I can now get out there and enjoy ‘life’ and be more present to others. It has been a most wonderful journey.

What a feeling! Toughest was to make the decision to go for the challenge.
We all might have too many excuses, like I also had too many times in the past. But after accepting the challenge everything went on so easily. I just simply followed the Challenge ”bible” with discipline every day and with a special focus on the diet. I also started to check my weight every morning, which gave me extra motivation. Not to mention all clothes getting suddenly too loose.

Luckily I met Katie! Who has motivated me to perform better every week. When we started I could barely do anything. I didn’t have any strength, especially in my arms. I am usually very negative about myself… I don’t see anything beautiful in myself.
But now that I’ve been training with Katie, I’m much more positive because mentally I feel better. Finnish Sisu has also been needed for this journey. You need to google the word SISU so you know what I mean. I am so happy that my condition has risen and I can run! Running is something I never thought I could ever do! I ran 5km with SISU! Thank you Katie and let's continue this journey together!

I have followed this challenge two years in a row now, down to the excellent results I experienced.
I noticed a big change in my mental and physical health, which I still carry with me to this day. With the combination of Katie's workout and nutrition regime, I managed to feel the fittest that I've ever felt. I found the structure easy to follow with each element broken down and easy to record my progress. I feel like this challenge brings the whole package, gets you thinking about all aspects of your health and fitness to get positive and real results. It also brings a community vibe and you get to meet new people (even if it is virtually). It is amazing how much that helps, knowing there are other people to relate to. Love this challenge.

The Sparrow Fitness Challenge is one of the best things I have done.
Setting a goal is one thing, but having the framework set up to achieve it is what gives this program the success it has. The structured food plan, personalised exercise plan, the community, and Katie’s guidance, all assisted me in achieving my 8 week goal. I enjoyed the journey, the outcome, and the ability to continue putting into my life what I had learnt during the program. You can’t put a value on feeling good, so I’ll definitely be back again for another Challenge!
